TADVIC produces a magazine twice a year that highlights the work of our volunteers in finding novel solutions to problems that have arisen over the past six months. It comes out around August and February. New subscriptions are welcome at any time throughout the year.
The current costs are $25.00 for individuals or $35.00 for organisations per year.
In the last edition we highlighted some of our recent achievements. This included a grant from the Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation which is supporting a pilot program to increase project coordination in four of our regional branches. We thank them for their generous support.
Over the past year TADVIC has completed over 50 cycling related projects to assist children and adults to actively participate in this fun education and recreation activity. Projects have included modifications to bicycles, tricycles, transporting cycling equipment and setting up cycling based exercise equipment. We featured an article that explores a number of different bike trailer designs and adaptations that have enabled children and their families to enjoy family cycling outings. There are other cycling projects highlighted in the recreation section of the magazine.
Other project stories draw attention to the many and varied ways TADVIC assists to improve the independence and participation of people with disabilities in everyday activities, recreational pursuits, education, work and accessing their community.
